Why on earth would anyone want to follow a Bundesliga football team? Why on earth would they be part of a club in which many use football as a thin veil to mask a desire to eat, drink and socialise? Anyone can join and enjoy the camaraderie, the football, the beer, the German sausages and more, in any combination and any order of importance, with 1FCNUK.
Although website issues mean 10 years of our content has disappeared, as of 2025 we're back online.

1.FC Nürnberg – Hannover 96 – Preview!
A crucial match for both teams seasons lies ahead as FCN return to the max Morlock Stadion to host a Hannover side who have drawn the last 5 games. Both teams who lie on equal points, with Hannover having a superior goal difference, will be keen to claim victory knowing that three points could be crucial come May. Der Club have the third best record on their own patch in the league, falling just behind Hamburg in second and Saturdays visitors in 1st. Hannover will be keen to improve their mediocre away record which consists of just 10 points from 11 games on the road. Ahead of this afternoons crucial clash, we will look into the ones to watch.
Ones to watch
Janis Antiste – Der Club’s young new striker has made a good start after his January move from Sassuolo. On top of a couple of strong performances, topped off by a goal and assist already will look to continue that strong form with a good contribution this weekend.
Ondrej Karafiat – The Czech defender has made a good start to his 2025, having played every minute for Nürnberg this year, keeping 3 clean sheets, along with a 5th minute goal at Magdeburg. Karafiat and his backline will be determined as ever to keep the visitors (who have one of the worst attacks in the league) out
Nicolo Tresdoli – Currently Hannover’s top scorer in the league, the academy product has found the back of the net 6 times this season, alongside 4 in Germany’s Euro U21 qualifying campaign. The 20 year old will be full of confidence following what has been his best season as a professional so far and will definitely be a threat to Klose’s back line.
Marcel Halstenburg – The former Leipzig defender has played a crucial part in keeping Hannover’s defence sturdy this season, having only leaked 23 goals so far. The 33 year old has featured in 22 of his clubs 23 matches this season, and will pose a good challenge to Der Club’s forwards.
A huge match looms ahead in Franconia – both sides know that todays could truly be a six pointer. Both sides go into the game with their own streaks to maintain: Der Club are unbeaten at home in 8 and have not been defeated in 4 whilst Die Roten are unbeaten in their last 7, and have not been beaten by FCN in 4.
