The short 'tongue-in-cheek' introductions began life as translations from an article which was published in the Nurnberger Nachrichten in early August 2008. Many of the comments have not survived the initial translation process and have been hacked so much that they bear little if any resemblance to the original!

We also provide a few longer portraits, which were painstakingly created by 1FCNUK members. They are intended for fans, especially for those who are new to the phenomenon "FCN" and should be understood as 'personal introductions' to the present FCN squad, rather than deep insights into each player. As such, it is inevitable that one or two tend to betray the author's own preferences and bias than act as a neutral presentation of the player concerned - however who is neutral in the football media these days?
